Ruta Tavoraite appointed as spa manager at Chuan Body and Soul at The Langham

Ruta Tavoraite has joined Chuan Body and Soul at The Langham in London as its health club and spa manager.

Tavoraite started her career in the beauty industry more than a decade ago, working aboard cruise ships around Australia, and has since worked for Espa Life at the Corinthia and Browns.

She moved to England from Lithuania 20 years ago and played an integral role in the successful launch of Irene Forte skincare, before transitioning to the Bamford Brompton Cross Spa.

As health club and spa manager at Chuan Body and Soul, Tavoraite’s responsibilities will include managing the team, developing wellness offerings, promoting sustainability and creating a new menu.

“My vision for Chuan Body and Soul Spa is to embody the essence of tranquillity and harmony, drawing inspiration from the meaning of Chuan – a serene course of water,” said Tavoraite.

“We will reflect this in the spa through the principles of feng shui, creating a space that promotes inner peace and rejuvenation for our guests.”

Guy Charles Owen, hotel manager at the Langham, added: “I am delighted to have Ruta on board, heading up the team at our Chuan spa. She has some impressive experience and I look forward to seeing how she grows the team and develops the spa experience.”

Chuan Spa treatments and products are guided by the Wu Xing or Five Elements theory, involving wood, fire, earth, metal and water.

Treatments on offer include Zelens 3D and 4D facials, the OTO Balance CBD massage, and a TCM-inspired signature treatment, Ashmira Botanica Pure Alchemy.
