Langham to debut in Italy with Venetian property

The Langham Hospitality Group is to open a new hotel in Venice in 2023 – its first Italian hotel and its third in Europe.

Housed in the former Casino Mocenigo, which has a history dating back to the early 1600s on the island of Murano, The Langham, Venice, will have direct frontage on the Venetian Lagoon.

Milan-based architecture and design studio Matteo Thun & Partners has been appointed to oversee the extensive renovations, a defining architectural feature of which is an inner courtyard that will showcase an outdoor swimming pool and garden spaces. Other inspiration for the design of guest spaces will incorporate the hotel’s rich history and surroundings.

In addition to a fully equipped fitness centre, the Langham Hospitality Group’s signature Chuan Spa will provide wellness therapies and treatments based on the ancient healing philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
