Winners of inaugural Luxury Spa Edit Awards announced

The Luxury Spa Edit has announced the winners of the inaugural Luxury Spa Edit Awards.

The awards recognise the luxury spa and wellness industry across 20 categories – the nominees were chosen by a panel of leading industry experts and the winners selected by public vote.

The panel is made up of leading spa, wellness and travel contributors to high-end publications, including European Spa’s deputy editor Mark Smith.

“As this year marks the 10th anniversary of The Luxury Spa Edit, we felt it was the right time to launch our awards,” said Luxury Spa Edit founder Lisa Brown.

“Our inaugural awards attracted tens of thousands of public votes, providing the ultimate endorsement of excellence for our winners.

“The luxury spa and wellness industry is booming and we wanted to create an award dedicated to celebrating them. ”

Aware there are already numerous awards for the industry, Brown was keen to do something different, so combined professional and public votes with free entry for nominees. Winners are chosen by public vote to allow fair competition.

Expert panellists

Other experts on the awards panel include Suzanne Duckett, spa expert at The Telegraph and The Times and founder of Onolla; spa consultants Jo Foley and Gerri Gallagher; and Condé Nast Traveller’s sustainability editor, Juliet Kinsman.

They were joined by Tracey Woodward, co-creator of Kalmar; Lindsay Madden Nadeau, senior director wellness strategy and development for Red Sea Global; and beauty journalist Alice Hart-Davis.
