UK Spa Association announces Abi Selby as new Chair

Spabreaks CEO Abi Selby will take over from Adam Chatterley as of April 1

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has announced that Abi Selby will be taking over as its new Chair.

The CEO of Spabreaks.com, Selby has been involved in the spa industry for more than 20 years. She replaces Adam Chatterley, who is stepping down as of April 1 to devote more time to his growing business.

"It has been an absolute honour to serve as the Chair of the UKSA. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together."

During his tenure as Chair, Chatterley has successfully navigated the association through some of the industry’s most challenging times. He leaves the organisation on a stronger financial and strategic footing.

As Chair of the UKSA, he has worked to promote and support the growth of the industry.

“As Beauty Business Secrets, my revenue strategy and coaching company, continues to grow, I have made the difficult decision to step down to focus on this venture,” said Chatterley.

“I want to thank everyone in the association for their support and hard work during my tenure. I know that the association will continue to thrive under its new leadership.”

Strategic growth

The UKSA will continue to be run by general manager Yvonne Ebdon.

Ebdon oversees day-to-day operations, managing of the board and is responsible for the full strategic direction of the association.

"It's a wonderful privilege to be taking the next step in my involvement with the UKSA, and assuming a key role in the next phase of its journey. The spa industry has been through a tough time since Covid, but it has shown its metal both for thriving commercially and as an integral support for the nation's wellbeing."
