Sequoia Spa at The Grove to relaunch in May following renovations

Sequoia Spa at the five-star Grove hotel in Hertfordshire, UK, will relaunch on May 1, 2022 following a major renovation. 

The new Sequoia Spa will feature a new relaxation room and two new experience showers, as well as a Japanese spa bath and upgraded poolside heat experiences, including a men’s sauna and steam room, with Anapos and Advanced Pools supplying the new thermal facilities.

A new accessible changing space, a brand new member’s lounge, a spacious dining area and a revamped spa reception complete the line-up.

Sequoia Spa interiors by StudioJill

The spa interiors, designed by hospitality interior design specialist StudioJill, will combine warm, earthy tones with natural materials to create a ‘peaceful, nature-inspired ambience’. 

Additionally, the outdoor spa terrace will undergo its own makeover with the addition of new furniture to create the a summertime retreat for guests. 

Suppliers on the project include BC Softwear, who will provide robes and slippers; Inline London, which will supply staff uniforms; and Excelcia London, which will provide flip-flops. 

Hotel refurbishment

The spa renovation forms part of a larger refurbishment project, which included the total overhaul of 189 guest bedrooms in the hotel’s west wing in 2021. This year will see the restoration of the remaining rooms, located in ‘the Mansion’ at the heart of the hotel. Each room is said to boast its own unique interior inspired by the property’s history.
