Good Spa Awards 2021: Winners announced

Organised by The Good Spa Guide, the winners of the Good Spa Awards 2021 have been announced. The 11th annual awards celebrate spa excellence across the UK and this year’s accolades span eight categories, the winners being announced during the Spa Life UK conference in Bedfordshire.

Aqua Sana Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire was given the award for Best Day Spa, sponsored by Dalesauna, while Ragdale Hall Spa, Leicestershire was named Best Retreat Spa, sponsored by OTO CBD.

Awarded to the spa with the best eco-friendly credentials, including the products it uses, sustainably-sourced food and eco-friendly laundry choices, Best Spa for the Eco-conscious, sponsored by [Comfort Zone], was given to Aquarius Spa at Whatley Manor, Wiltshire.

Three Graces Spa at Grantley Hall, Yorkshire won Best Spa for Fitness and Wellbeing, sponsored by Natura Bissé, for offering the best range of holistic treatments, classes and facilities, as well as the best ethos towards fitness and wellbeing.

Best Hotel Spa, sponsored by DLT Media, was The Spa at Pennyhill Park, Surrey,
which was praised for its great facilities, effective and indulgent treatments, excellent food and elegant bedrooms.

The Lanesborough Club and Spa, London was named Best Urban Spa, sponsored by Germaine de Capuccini; Best Countryside Getaway, sponsored by Natura Bissé, was Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa, Lake District (pictured top); and Best Coastal Spa, sponsored by Wildlife Botanicals, was The Headland Spa, Cornwall.

Caitlin Dalton, editor-in-chief of The Good Spa Guide, said: “After the past 16 months, it seems people can’t wait to get back to their much-loved spas and finally unravel. We saw a huge boom in spa staycations bookings – notably from the countryside and coastal spa sector – and want to celebrate these categories in particular.
