Hôtel Crillon le Brave unveils new spa

Hôtel Crillon le Brave in Provence, France has reopened following a transformative refurbishment.

The hotel’s iconic Spa des Écuries, set within the property’s vaulted 18th century stone stables, has been entirely reimagined as part of a renewed wellness journey.

The spa, which spans nearly 200sqm, now features a comprehensive new wet spa with a hammam, sauna, hot tub and cold baths as well as three treatment rooms. 

The property, part of the Maisons Pariente family, has also added a second heated swimming pool, available for adults only.

Treatments will be offered in partnership with Tata Harper, now complemented by Maison Caulieres, renowned for its plant-based formulations. 

SeeMyCosmetics, recognised for its tailor-made protocols blending Korean expertise with beauty tech, is the final new spa partner. Treatment beds were supplied by Gharieni and towels and linens are by Garnier Thiebaut.

The new wellness spaces and shared areas were created by architect Margaux Perrin, a longtime collaborator of Charles Zana, the hotel’s original architect and designer.

For the first time, the spa is now open to outside visitors as well as hotel guests. 

Wellness experiences 

Crillon le Brave has also partnered with dietitian-nutritionist and naturopath Claire Borwin to introduce a series of one-and two-day retreats, rooted in nature and the body’s natural rhythms. Experiences include culinary workshops, moments of stillness and sensory rituals. 

Spa manager Sarah Perret said: “Spa des Écuries is located within the former stables, a place filled with character and authenticity. We have carefully preserved the original charm, particularly through our vaulted bathing area, creating an intimate and deeply soothing atmosphere.

“There is a true sense of soul and timeless elegance throughout the spa, where history and wellbeing naturally come together. Every detail has been imagined as an invitation to slow down, reconnect and embrace the elegant and authentic spirit of Provence.”

As part of the expansion, three historic houses have been carefully restored, bringing the estate to twelve and introducing nine new rooms.
