The new Sæl Spa wellness destination is billed to open at London’s Fulham Pier this month (May).

Situated on the banks of the River Thames, Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier will be a members-only luxury spa and wellness club combining expert-led programming, advanced treatments and a year-round rooftop pool.

Set across four floors, Sæl Spa will offer a 15-metre heated rooftop infinity pool and sun terrace with river views.

Indoor facilities will include a movement studio with integrated infrared technology offering 1:1 reformer Pilates, yoga, breathwork and sound-based recovery practices.

This will sit alongside experience showers by Aquaform, a Finnish sauna and botanical steam room by Klafs. There will also be contrast therapy suites combining infrared sauna by Sunlighten and a Brass Monkey cold plunge.

“By bringing together movement, recovery, clinical insight and longevity, structured through personalised pathways, we'll help support not just how people feel in the moment, but how they function over time.”

Michaela Hurst

Head of Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier

“Sæl Spa is designed around how people want to live today, where wellbeing is approached as a connected system,” said Michaela Hurst, head of Sæl Spa at Fulham Pier. “It’s a more considered, measurable approach to wellbeing and one designed to be returned to.”

Supporting circadian rhythm alignment

Sæl Spa’s architecture and interiors support circadian rhythm alignment, recovery and cognitive performance, creating an environment that works in harmony with human biology.

The name Sæl originates from Old English meaning calm, happy or blessed. Its bespoke lettering is inspired by historic type rediscovered in the Thames.

Ancient practice meets modern expertise

Sæl Spa will bring together a collective of specialists across wellness and clinical health. Spa treatments and bodywork will be offered in partnership with Omorovicza, SkinCycles, Bioeffect and Wildsmith Skin across five treatment rooms.

Inge Theron, founder of FaceGym, and spa design studio Itanda consulted on the longevity concept and wellness programming.

Theron said: “Sæl Spa is the future of British wellness. We’ve brought together the country’s most exceptional practitioners, bathing rituals, bodywork and beauty in a single destination where ancient practice meets modern expertise.

“It is the fullest expression of a concept rooted in science. It’s precise, it’s purposeful and it’s long overdue.”
