UK Spa Association announces leadership transition

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has announced that Rachel Bevan will succeed Bobby Griffiths as general manager of the organisation.

Bevan has been appointed to continue modernising the Association’s approach. She will help to position it for continued growth and relevance in the evolving wellness landscape.

Joining the UKSA from Ellisons, where she supported spa and wellness businesses, Bevan has built a strong reputation for industry knowledge and commercial expertise.

Her experience includes therapist roles at QHotels and 12 years with Daniel Thwaites, including six as spa treatments manager.

Bevan continues: “I am committed to ensuring the UKSA delivers real value for our members and strengthens the sense of community across the sector, encouraging collaboration and support where it matters most.

“I am particularly passionate about helping the industry create more inclusive spa and wellness environments. Together, we can better welcome guests living with cancer, as well as those who are neurodivergent.

“I look forward to working closely with our members and partners, contributing to a future that reflects the quality, professionalism and growing influence of the UK spa industry.”

Driving industry collaboration

Over the past two years, the UKSA has undergone significant changes, strengthening alignment across the sector while enhancing its voice, visibility and value for members.

Under the guidance of Bobby Griffiths’ and the wider board, the Association has modernised its approach and driven greater collaboration within the industry.

In February, the UKSA announced the formation of a strategic partnership with the Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC).

In April, it launched a nationwide survey to gather insight from operators on the current provision of cancer-adapted treatments and services. Results are expected in June.
