Airelles Palladio in Venice has opened to offer the city’s largest wellness space.

The hotel is a first in Italy for the prestigious French hotel collection and its 1,700 sqm Airelles Spa debuts in partnership with the French skincare house Guerlain.

The iconic brand has created a collection of exclusive treatments inspired by the city,  including Aqua Vinizia, Terra Vinizia and Gondola Sway, which draw inspiration from Venice’s waterways and artistic heritage.

The Guerlain Spa

Airelles Spa marks a Venetian debut for Guerlain. The exclusive collection of restorative wellness rituals created for the spa are designed around a philosophy of beauty and balance.

Aqua Vinizia is a full-body treatment drawing inspiration from the city’s waterways, using the Aqua Allegoria collection. Terra Vinizia, offers a grounded, cocooning experience atop a heated quartz bed. Gondola Sway captures the serenity of a Venetian journey using rhythmic hand movements to calm the nervous system.

Overlooking Mediterranean gardens, the wellness space features treatment rooms, a hammam, a Finnish sauna, and a Japanese Iyashi Dôme infrared sauna.

There is a yoga and fitness studio, relaxation areas and a 64sqm indoor swimming pool.

The spa also welcomes the renowned Italian haircare maison Rossano Ferretti, which is bringing its celebrated Ferretti Metodo Cut – a technique that is said to respect the hair’s natural beauty – to the property.

With ateliers in New York, Paris and Hong Kong, Airelles Palladio, the Venice opening is its 20th partner salon worldwide.

Inside Airelles Palladio

With a lagoon-side setting, Airelles Palladio comprises three restored 16th-century buildings.

The main part of the hotel is housed in the former Zitelle Institute, designed by architect Andrea Palladio, where young women with no dowry were taught to make lace.

In the centre stands the Santa Maria della Presentazione Church, completed by the same architect in 1588. Lastly there is Villa Frollo, created as a vacation home for Venetian aristocracy.

“Venice has its own poetry, shaped by water and centuries of history,” said Anne-Laure Ollagnon, CEO of Airelles. “With Airelles Palladio, we wanted to give Venice a starring role, letting its colours, materials and spirit guide us.”
