UK Spa Association announces line up for Scottish networking event

THE UKSA’s first networking event in Scotland will be hosted at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has announced its first Scottish networking event will take place this February, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.

The networking event will be held on Wednesday February 28 from 10am until 3.30pm.

The popular biannual event draws members and suppliers together for a chance to share ideas. Leading brands will be in attendance, showcasing their latest products and innovations.

After the main event, the UKSA will host a Supplier Focus forum and the National Spa Director Assembly, both from 3.45pm – 4.45pm. To register your interest in attending, email manager@spa-uk.org.

Beata Aleksandrowicz, international expert on massage, healing and women’s wellbeing

An intuitive practitioner and global educator, Aleksandrowicz will share her expertise on the importance of touch, wellbeing and spiritual growth.

As the Founder of Beata Aleksandrowicz Spa Training Method, Aleksandrowicz provides therapists with effective and injury-free massage techniques, communication skills, self-care routines and life coaching.

Ramin Salehi, founder of Cornerstone Training

Salehi has been working in the field of workplace assessments and mental health training for the past 20 years. He has conducted more than 10,000 individual assessments and action plans for clients from HSBC to the Bank of England.

He is founding chairman of Wave Forward, a charity which was established to drive the vision of better mental well-being for young people across South Lakes, Cumbria.

Emma Bell, author, speaker and resilience expert

Former judge Emma Bell delivers training to every newly appointed judge in England and Wales on how to manage conflict within hearings and deal with difficult relationship dynamics. Her expertise lies in the personal development of individuals and the relationship dynamics of senior teams.

Bell will share how to help spa teams shift unhelpful thinking and behavioural habits so they can be fully confident and able to make the difference they’re capable of.

“As well as inspirational speakers talking about everything from resilience to the mental health of our therapists, we’ll be offering delegates the opportunity to start the day with an ice bath experience from Brass Monkey,” continues Selby.

“With some very exciting new announcements in the pipeline for the next few weeks, 2024 is set to be a very exciting year for the UKSA.”

The venue: One Spa at the Sheraton Grand Hotel

Set in Scotland’s capital, Sheraton’s One Spa was named Best Spa in Scotland at the 2023 Good Spa Guide awards.

Facilities include the Escape at One experience, which comprises a rooftop Hydropool, Himalayan dry salt room, crystal steam room, rock and bio saunas, a hammam and a laconium.

In addition, the 19m infinity edge indoor pool has a pool side sauna and there is a fitness studio. Treatments use products by Espa and Temple Spa.
