Set apart from the hotel, inside a former Victorian Coach House, The Spa at Ardencote occupies 500sqm and offers eight treatment rooms, with a courtroom extension housing 40 bedrooms.
The spa is completed by relaxation and tranquility spaces, and an extensive thermal suite, comprising an aromatherapy steam room, Himalayan salt sauna, tepidarium, ice fountain, monsoon experience shower and foot spa.
The relaxation lounge offers stylish spa pods for guests to unwind pre or post-treatment, while the Tranquility Lounge is described as a comfortable and peaceful space, perfect for some ‘me’ time.
The spa experience extends outside, with a host of facilities including a heated swimming pool, hot tub and Tyrolean Kilo sauna, surrounded by a sensory country garden that captures the essence of the spa’s idyllic rural location.
The treatment menu features a full range of results-driven facial and body rituals from luxury skincare brand Elemis, including the spa’s signature treatment, Ardencote Country Wellbeing Ritual.
Billed as the ultimate skin and body therapy, the Ardencote Country Wellbeing Ritual combines full-body exfoliation with a relaxing massage to increase cell renewal and soothe tired and aching muscles. A bespoke facial, tailored to the individual’s skincare needs and concerns, finishes the experience.
The treatment line-up is completed with a host of nail services, including manicures and pedicures, from professional nailcare brand OPI.
Suppliers who worked on the spa redevelopment include spa and wellness consultancy Schletterer, which supplied the thermal features, while therapist uniforms came from Buttercups and towels and robes from Johnstons Stallbride
Fitness equipment is from Life Fitness and spa software from Premier Software, while interior design services were provided by Curveline Design in partnership with managing director Dale Huckerby.
