The newest addition to The Peninsula’s portfolio, The Peninsula London will open its Spa and Wellness Centre tomorrow (December 1).

Spread across two floors of the hotel, the spa will offer amenities including a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, which occupies a double-height subterranean chamber.

The walls are adorned with mosaic landscapes and overhead light panels change throughout the day to simulate natural daylight.

The pool is surrounded by chaises and three semi-private cabanas.

Conceived by world-renowned architect and interior designer Peter Marino, the spa also features seven wood-panelled treatment rooms and four thermal cabins.

The spa will be managed by spa and wellness manager, Ratti Dujda, and director of spa and wellness, Louise Molloy.

UK-first partnerships with Margy’s and Subtle Energies

As well as a Technogym-equipped fitness studio there is a dedicated hair atelier by Belgravia stylist Errol Douglas MBE.

The Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre is the first in the UK to partner with both Margy’s Monte Carlo and Australian brand Subtle Energies.

Products and signature treatments will include the Margy’s 24 Karat Gold Mask and e-Finger Facial, which uses the brand’s Swiss-made products along with micro-current technology.

The Blissful Marma Massage by Subtle Energies incorporates massage with chakra-balancing, marma therapy and results-based aromatic products founded on Ayurveda principals.

The spa has collaborated with a select group of wellness providers, each a leader in their field of physical, mental or emotional wellbeing.

The therapists-in-residence will be available to guests by appointment for one-to-two-hour sessions.

Practitioners include The Body Doctor, David Marshall, and craniosacral and lymphatic massage expert Susan Siklawi.

Dr Li Ping Bartlett will offer Traditional Chinese Medicine and targeted acupuncture while osteopath Emanuele Calabrese will provide pain relieving therapeutic musculoskeletal modalities.
