Luxury hotel group The Peninsula Hotels has launched Life Lived Best, a new wellness programme with a dedicated wellness portal, across its entire property portfolio.

The new initiative will provide access to fitness, mindfulness and nutrition content, which can be accessed via the dedicated portal and a 24-hour wellness concierge service.

The Life Lived Best programme is based on three touchstones of body, mind and nutrition

Providing a holistic wellness experience, the programme is built on three pillars: body, mind and nutrition, and offers a plethora of activities, workshops, classes and menu options to support guests’ wellbeing goals.

Each property also features programming that reflects the traditions of its home city, created in partnership with local residents to support local communities and immerse guests in their surroundings.

Guests have access to a host of exercising opportunities including a video library of specially-created in-room workouts

Physical vitality

Recognising the impact that physical activity has on a person’s wellbeing, the group has introduced a host of new workout options, including guided video routines and in-room equipment, enabling guests to exercise safely and enjoyably in the privacy of their own rooms. Guests are also able to work out in the hotels’ dedicated, state-of-the-art fitness centres and on the hotels’ grounds should they wish.

Guests’ personal fitness journeys are further enhanced by the following in-room services:

  • In-room fitness gear, including Life Fitness indoor cycling equipment on request.
  • Streaming library of specially created video programming, including exercises and stretches that guests can stream on their personal devices on their in-room TV.
  • Programming for different goals, such as strength, energy and jet-lag relief.

Each property also offers destination-specific fitness experiences including locally-curated and led fitness classes, maps of local jogging and walking trails, special fitness events co-hosted by local partners, as well as regular workshops and talks from visiting fitness experts.

The Peninsula Hotels has partnered with meditation app Breethe to offer guided mediations and relaxing bedtime stories

Peace of mind

For guests looking to cultivate mindfulness and positive mental wellbeing, Peninsula Hotels has partnered with meditation app Breethe to offer a robust line-up of wellness programmes.

A selection of Breethe content, including guided meditations, relaxing bedtime stories and soothing music, as well as a ‘Sleep Well, Wake Up Well’ aromatherapy experience from Ayurvedic brand Subtle Energies and in-room relaxing or invigoration spa-style baths, drawn by Peninsula Hotels’ wellness experts using products from Subtle Energies and/or Voya, are available across the group’s entire portfolio.

Similar to the fitness experiences, destination-specific experiences, including locally curated meditation classes and mindfulness experiences, traditional local energy and healing spa treatments and Earth-friendly bespoke scented bath amenities, are also on offer.

The group has relaunched its plant-focused menu, Naturally Peninsula

Plant-based menus

The group has also relaunched its Naturally Peninsula menu with a new focus on plant-based cuisine.

The new menu aims to reduce the group’s carbon footprint and supports local communities by featuring locally sourced and seasonal produce, as well as nutritious oils and non-refined sugars, as well as meat-free, organic and naturally produced ingredients from local suppliers.

The group also offers Naturally Peninsula dining experiences and cooking classes, highlighting seasonal produce and the culinary traditions from their locations.

The programme also offers destination-specific experiences curated with the local community

Wellness portal

Finally, the group has developed a wellness portal that gives guests round-the-clock access to wellness experiences throughout their stay.

Rolling out across the entire brand portfolio, the wellness portal gives guests access to in-room fitness content, guided audio meditation, as well as a Naturally Peninsula menu, and enables them to book spa treatments, classes, workshops and special events.

The wellness portal also features PenChat, a messaging service offering 24/7 support, letting guests communicate with the hotels’ chefs, spa managers and fitness centre experts.

Be well...
