The long-awaited Raffles The Palm Dubai resort has opened on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai in the UAE.

Billed as the ‘epitome of Arabian hospitality’, the Accor-owned resort occupies 100,000sqm of shorefront real estate along Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent.

The development includes a 3,000sqm Cinq Mondes Spa, a wellness sanctuary offering 23 treatment rooms and two private spa suites, as well as seven scrub rooms and a 365sqm indoor swimming pool, the largest in the city.

The resort’s wellness offering is completed by three hammams, a sauna, an ice fountain, a 61sqm yoga studio, a 180sqm gym and Japanese bathtubs.

“An urban sanctuary where science meets the specialism of time-honoured traditional practices, Raffles The Palm Dubai seamlessly bridges heritage with vibrant 21st-century luxury.”

The spa’s treatment menu consists of rituals and experiences from luxury Parisian skincare brand Cinq Mondes, including the Shirodhara Royal Care massage, a 90-minute ritual that targets insomnia and eases tension, and the Bali Flower & Fruits Ritual Skin Perfection facial, a 60 or 90-minute treatment that combines oxygenation techniques with natural active ingredients from tropical flowers and fruit acids.

Key suppliers on the project included Gharieni which supplied wellness equipment, and Barr + Wray, which supplied the spa’s wet experiences. Spa partner Cinq Mondes supplied treatment beds, training, treatments and skincare products.

“Raffles The Palm Dubai is a next-generation leader in transformative wellbeing,” said spa director Karen Lesch Coetzee.

The hotel offers 389 guest bedrooms, suites and villas, each with its own balcony or terrace offering panoramic views across the city or sea, and access to the resort’s 24-hour personalised butler service.

Seven restaurants serve a mixture of Japanese, Italian and French cuisine and there is a private cinema, kid’s club, teenager’s club and a separate swimming pool for younger guests. A new beach club providing live entertainment and Mediterranean cuisine is expected to open later this year.

The resort also offers several four-bedroom beach-side villas, ranging in size from 950sqm to 1,050sqm, offering guests their own private beach, private pool and home spa.

“It’s with pride that we announce the official opening of Raffles The Palm Dubai, Raffles’ newest luxury resort in the UAE,” said Ayman Gharib, the hotel’s managing director.

“The five-star property invites guests to discover one of the world’s most exciting destinations through the gracious lens of a Raffles resort.”
