Luxury Lodges has opened the new 2,700sqm Milk Wood Spa at its Dylan Coastal Resort in south Wales.

The £7.5 million spa, at Milk Wood House, has an outdoor hydrotherapy infinity pool, with views of the Taf Estuary.

Designed by Louise James from Blackthorn Design and Anne Marie Nicholson from PRP London, Milk Wood Spa has an indoor pool by Rio Pools, themed experience showers, a herbal steam room and a tepidarium by DaleSauna.

There is a mezzanine relaxation zone, a yoga studio and a gym, equipped by Technogym. Soft furnishing are supplied by Skyline and towels and spa linens by BC SoftWear. Uniforms are by Alexandra Workwear and Durham Business Wear. The spa garden is the vision of Johnston Landscaping.

Set in the ancient town of Laugharne in Carmarthenshire, treatments at Milk Wood Spa are provided by ishga.

Four therapists working in two treatment rooms offer natural, sea-inspired treatments including the 60-minute ishga Invigorating Massage, which uses a detoxifying seaweed body oil.

Also on offer is a powerful Hebridean sea salt and oil scrub and the signature 120-minute ishga Top to Toe ritual.

Treatment beds have been sourced from Nilo Spa Design and the spa uses Trybe’s software.

The property has also opened, The Studio, a spa facility in the grounds at Dylan Coastal Resort, offering treatments to cater to individuals holistic wellness needs.

These include Craniosacral Therapy, a gentle hands-on approach that uses subtle movements of the cranial bones and cerebrospinal fluid to release tension and promote deep relaxation.

The Studio is also offering couple’s massages, reflexology, manicures, pedicures, and other beauty services.

Candlelight yoga

Luxury Lodges runs five-star self-catering resorts across Britain. Lodge guests and owners of residences are invited to use the Milk Wood Spa.

Dylan Coastal Resort has partnered with yoga instructor and wellness coordinator, Paulina Ostrowskato, to offer a series of yoga and meditation classes Milk Wood’s yoga studio, Studio 72.

There will also be restorative yoga and meditation sessions, available five days a week, as well as candlelight yoga sessions.
