Supplier focus:

Barr+Wray

Barr+Wray was initially contracted for the hydraulic designs of the 120m long infinity edge Link-Bridge Pool, as well as various other pools and water features around the buildings. The team carried out the construction management of these works, providing the reviews and approvals of the contractors appointed.

“We are most proud of the long infinity pool located on top of a link bridge between two towers, it’s quite spectacular,” explains Derek Barton, managing director, Barr+Wray.  “We are involved in many pool design contracts, however this is quite special.”

The team was then awarded the supply and installation of the spa for One&Only, which is spread over three floors in one tower. This project included hydro jet room facilities, phytotherapy beds, automated hydrotherapy tubs, four scrub rooms with heated massage table and shower.

It also features saunas and steam rooms in the male and female changing rooms and separate hammam facilities for men and women and also herbal saunas and steam rooms separated by gender. “One Za’abeel, another landmark project for Dubai and the UAE, for Barr+Wray it’s just a great project to be a part of,” says Barton.
