Jessican Sloyan has launched Slo | Yin Wellness, offering restorative, sensory-rich retreats and workshops for spa members, staff and corporate groups.

Rooted in the yin-yang philosophy of balance, Slo | Yin sessions encompass therapeutic sound bath journeys, including Himalayan bowls, gongs and floating meditation experiences, paired with breathwork and guided visualisation.

Sessions are designed to calm and reset the nervous system and can include yoga, qigong and mindful flow to harmonise breath, body and energy, as well as stress management, skincare rituals, emotional wellbeing and lifestyle practices.

“Slo | Yin was born from a simple but powerful idea, that in a world defined by technology and speed, we need spaces designed for stillness and connection.”

Jessica Sloyan

Founder, Slo | Yin Wellness

Immersive, restorative experiences

Formerly director of spa and wellness at Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, Sloyan has more than 25 years’ experience in luxury hospitality.

Her operations experience spans some of the UK’s leading luxury spas including the Bath Priory, the Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa, and Whatley Manor.

While leading spas, she specialised in curating restorative, sensorial wellbeing experiences. Her qualifications include sound therapy, mindfulness and meditation teaching, yoga, qigong and hypnotherapy, alongside an MSc in health psychology.

Sloyan is also an international spa consultant with ESPA and a board member of the UK Spa Association.

Sensorial and meditative experiences

The immersive, restorative sessions blend Eastern traditions with modern psychology and neuroscience, with a strong emphasis on nervous system regulation and deep rest.

“My own signature mindful movement practice, Slo | Yin Flow, is a Qigong-inspired modality guided by music and sound,” says Sloyan. “It is designed to create a deeply sensorial and meditative experience.”

“My aim with Slo | Yin is to help create greater awareness around the effectiveness of sound therapy within spa and wellness spaces. Used well, it can be a powerful and credible addition to guest experiences and staff wellbeing programmes.”

Integrating sound therapies into spas

Looking ahead, Sloyan has plans to develop a wellness academy, with sound therapy as its core expression.

“I’ll be launching accredited courses, designed to bridge the gap between traditional spa therapy and more holistic, sensorial and restorative practices,” she says.

“The goal is to better equip wellness professionals with the tools and understanding to integrate modalities such as sound therapy and mindfulness into modern spa environments in a credible and impactful way.”

The first online course will be a foundation level in sound therapy, with more advanced in-person training to follow. Sloyan is working towards CMA accreditation, with more details due to be released this summer.
