Aiming to bridge the gap between spas and clinics, ilā RegenX has opened in central London.

Founded by visionary wellness expert Denise Leicester, also the originator of the organic skincare brand ilā and the Maison ilā  wellness retreat in France, the concept focuses on the future of how people heal, age and live well.

Promoting regenerative longevity, the two storey town house in Marylebone has seen a significant investment in wellness technology. What sets it apart is its attention to protocols and a guest experiences that combine high touch with a grounded senses of holistic care.

Denise Leicester - founder of ilā RegenX

“At Maison ilā I’ve witnessed profound shift in what people truly need…true healing begins when the nervous system can regulate and feel safe. Only then do the body’s repair mechanisms activate: mitochondrial vitality improves, inflammation drops, cognition sharpens, and energy returns in a sustainable way.”

Founder, ilā RegenX

Entering the beautifully designed reception guests first notice incense, relaxing music and a retail area of healing ilā and ilā Regenx products.

This sensory immersion extends to the decor, which has been designed to calm the mind as guest begin their longevity programmes. These prioritise nervous system regulation, cellular vitality and ‘meaningful wellbeing’ over biohacking and general health optimisation.

A wellness atelier

The team refer to the project as a ‘wellness atelier’ rather than clinic, a title that very much suits the current offering.

The environment supports and calms the mind and senses with its clever use of natural materials, soothing acoustics, subtle lighting, warm human connection and ritualised transitions between treatments.

Guest can expect an AI-optimised diagnostic analysis on arrival to help determine their current state of health. This can include biofeedback, metabolic markers, nervous system metrics and performance indicators.

The team can draw on the following to gain a true picture of health: Medicavisie Multi-Scan analysis, Dutch Adrenal Test, Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) testing, Organic Acids Testing (OATs) and RegenX wellness and medical questionnaires.

A programme will then be devised to suit the client’s needs and goals. Central to success is reducing inflammation and regulating the nervous system while promoting physical resilience, metabolic health, mobility and mitochondrial efficiency.

“We can work at a cellular and neurological level in ways that were once unimaginable,” said Leicester, “including cold laser therapy, cold atmospheric plasma exchange, intermittent hypoxic training, advanced light therapies, and precision biofeedback. Applied intelligently, these tools can dramatically accelerate regeneration, resilience, and vitality.”

Maintaining a holistic connection

What struck European Spa when visiting was the commitment to creating these small touch points that connect the guest with themselves in a moment of mindfulness or grounded breathwork.

Without these the machine-based technology would perhaps be sterile, cold and clinical. It made the therapies more enjoyable and added a new element to the somewhat clinical nature of the machine based technology.

Romain Khoury, co-founder and director of wellness

"The goal of what we wanted to do was, how can we bring back the holistic aspect into the clinical elements. We saw the synergy when you combine very precise high-tech technology with things as simple as breath and meditation. ilaRegenX sits in this rare, sweet spot.”

Romain Khoury

Co-founder and director of wellness

“At ilā RegenX, advanced technologies such as light therapy, plasma exchange, frequency-based interventions, and nervous system modulation are paired with music, breathwork, somatic awareness, energetic alignment, and human presence.,” said Leicester.

“These layers work synergistically to restore coherence not only in the body, but in emotional and mental states as well.”

Each ilā RegenX programme works across five key pathways:

OXIDATIVE STRESS

Reducing cellular damage while strengthening antioxidant defences.

INFLAMMATION

Resolving chronic, low-grade inflammation linked to accelerated ageing and disease.

MITOCHONDRIAL VITALITY

Supporting the body’s energy factories to overcome fatigue and sustain long-term vitality.

HORMONAL BALANCE

Restoring endocrine harmony to stabilise mood, sleep, metabolism, and mental clarity.

NEURO-REGENERATION

Enhancing nervous system repair, cognitive resilience, and stress tolerance.

Together, these systems form the biological foundation of health span, enabling clients to live not just longer, but better.
