House Spa at Dormy House has appointed Sara Grundy as its new spa manager.

Grundy began her career in wellness as a self-employed beauty therapist in 2008 and has seven years of experience specifically at Dormy House Spa.

Her promotion to a senior management position at Dormy House will secure her valuable expertise in treatments, trends and impeccable service to the Farncombe spa.

Grundy replaces Bobby Griffiths, who has taken up a position as the general manager of the UK Spa Association.

“I firmly believe that it is the team that makes the spa and I really want to use my knowledge gained over the last 16 years being in this industry to pass on to the next generation of therapists here.”

“My first aim is to really focus on building and developing the great team we have,” said Grundy.

“The spa has just had a beautiful refurbishment, so my main prerogative is to make sure we are making the guests’ experience as memorable as possible.

“One of my aims is to modernise our spa by implementing an online booking system for treatments. With bookings handled online, our reception team can then focus their efforts on welcoming guests when they arrive.”

Strengthening the spa offering

Exec general manager at Dormy House, Stephen Browning, said: “Sara brings a wealth of valuable insight and expertise to House Spa. Her in-depth knowledge of the industry, as well as her passion and enthusiasm, will strengthen our offering and the customer experience immensely.

“We’re very much looking forward to seeing how the spa grows under Sara’s management.”

New Proverb spa menu

House Spa recently unveiled a new thermal suite and treatment menu by Proverb Skin.

The newly launched Proverb treatments go beyond the standard spa menu, providing a unique experience unlike a typical massage.

“Proverb’s specialised treatments combine massage techniques with stretching, aligning and mobilising the body, making them ideal for guests seeking therapeutic benefits beyond a traditional spa experience,” said Grundy.

Dormy House is the rural retreat for guests looking for a city escape, offering rooms, suites and hot tub suites.

Guests staying at both Dormy House and Foxhill Manor are given access to House Spa facilities, which include a serene indoor pool and terrace hot tub.
