Grand Bleu Spa opens at Le Monumental Palace in Porto

The Grand Bleu Spa has opened at Le Monumental Palace in Porto, Portugal.

The 350sqm space has a heated indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation area and three treatment rooms. Other facilities include a gym and an Immunity Bar.

With an aim to be ‘a constant ally in skincare and wellbeing’, the spa is located in the heart of Porto’s downtown on the lower ground floor of Le Monumental Palace Porto, a five-star Maison Albar hotel.

The in-house team at Grand Bleu Spa – called healers – will personalise treatments to the needs of each guest. Therapies on offer include Ayurvedic massage, geothermal massage and facials.

“It’s only by having partners with the reputation and expertise of ignae and Augustinus Bader that this goal is possible,” said Susana Queirós, spa manager at Grand Bleu Spa, who oversees a team of five.

Exclusive ignae treatments

Treatments will use ignae and Augustinus Bader products with a focus on holistic wellbeing and regeneration.

Created in the Azores, ignae associates itself with the triad of nature, luxury and sustainability. Its products use the properties of the hot springs in Terra Nostra Park and Azorean iodine.

Signature ignae treatments include the Digital Detox, which offers a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques with Azorean aromatherapy oils and products from its Blue Light range.

Augustinus Bader at Grand Bleu Spa

Grand Bleu Spa is the first in Portugal to offer Augustinus Bader products and treatments.

The signature offer is the Body Experience by Augustinus Bader treatment. The whole body is worked on to activate tissue metabolism and stimulate cell communication and repair.

Suppliers include Harvia for thermal areas, Jambel for treatment beds and Lameirinho for towels and spa linens.

Uniforms are by Diamond Designs, the gym is equipped by Technogym and spa software is by Treatwell.
