Nancy Davis is set to lead the newly formed Global Wellness Group as part of Informa's medical division

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) and Global Wellness Institute (GWI) have been acquired by the international events, digital services and academic research group Informa.

Informa will bring the organisations under one newly created umbrella, the Global Wellness Group, which will be headed up by Nancy Davis.

Formerly chief creative officer and executive director of GWS and GWI, Davis will succeed founder, current chair and CEO, Susie Ellis.

Opportunities for the wellness community

“Building and leading the Global Wellness Summit and the Global Wellness Institute has been my passion project for so many years,” said Ellis.

“Informa gives us the resources and global platform to grow our organisation in ways we’ve envisioned for years. The timing of this acquisition could not be better.

“Medicine and wellness are moving closer together as prevention, longevity and whole-person health increasingly become part of the same conversation.

“Importantly, the Global Wellness brands, vision and soul remain, and our entire team stays on. These new resources and reach will create unprecedented opportunities for the entire wellness community.”

Nancy Davis will lead the new Global Wellness Group from January 1, 2027. Ellis will step away to spend more time with her husband and family.
