Gemma Bosanko has been promoted to head of brand by ESPA.

Bosanko first joined ESPA when she was a teenager struggling with problematic skin. Inspired to become a skincare therapist, she went to college with an aspiration to work for the brand, which had helped her regain skin confidence.

In 2005, Bosanko became an ESPA therapist at Hoar Cross Hall, before moving to Armathwaite Hall as a senior therapist.

She went on to work at the Swan Hotel and Spa before joining ESPA as regional spa business development manager for the north-west.

In 2020, Bosanko was promoted to ESPA head of social and digital, later taking on brand marketing. Now she has stepped into the role of head of brand to help shape ESPA’s direction and future.

“Moving into the head of brand position at ESPA has been a personal goal of mine since beginning my career more than 20 years ago as an ESPA spa therapist.”

Evolving and refining the ESPA experience

“I have worked in multiple roles across the brand, leading spa operations, initiatives, education and building global brand campaigns,” said Bosanko.

“I have passionately immersed myself in ESPA both personally and professionally, and I am proud to take on this role. I will support ESPA through exciting changes and continued global growth.”

This new role blends Bosanko’s spa and marketing experience with a focus on ESPA’s international strategy and growth objectives. She will support client-first engagement, operational functions, brand campaigns, partnerships and innovations across both spa and product.

“With so much coming in 2025, I will strive to support our wider teams to execute exceptional campaigns and exciting new spa developments,” Bosamko said.

“My focus remains evolving and refining the brand experience to ensure ESPA resides at the forefront of the spa and wellness industry.”
