The new Spa at Breedon Priory in Derbyshire, UK, will open this summer following the completion of its exclusive private hideaway concept and tranquillity gardens.

Occupying 3,400sqm, the luxurious new day spa features seven state-of-the-art treatment rooms, including a couples’ room, and a Wellbeing Suite with six thermal experiences including experience shows, an ice fountain and several thermal cabins offering various heat strengths.

Celestial Massage

Its treatment menu includes rituals from British brands such as Temple Spa, Pinks Boutique and Proverb, with signature treatments, including the Breedon Priory Celestial Massage, from Tribe517

Commenting on the ritual, Claire Caddick, founder of Tribe517 said: “The Celestial Massage – called so because of its heavenly floating feeling – is a mix of back, face and scalp massage. So many clients can’t make their minds up between body and facial so this offers both.

“It’s combined with the flow of massage and products that meld together so it’s a completely smooth transition from body to face, with warm sweet orange and honey blends.”

Spa within a spa

Extending the spa experience into the great outdoors, the tranquillity gardens were designed by Lush Garden Design to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape and include a vitality pool, infinity pool, an outdoor terrace with luxurious loungers and a fire pit. A wildflower pond, inhabited by ‘home-reared, friendly’ ducks completes the outdoor offering.

Meanwhile, The Hideaway, Breedon Priory’s exclusive ‘spa-within-a-spa’ concept, can accommodate up to four guests and includes private lounge and shower areas, as well as a secluded terrace with a hot tub, fire pit and double lounger.

Sustainability at its core

The Spa at Breedon Priory was designed with sustainability at its core and features its own water source. Its interiors were created by spa and leisure design specialist Curveline

“We’re extremely proud to be fully opening our beautiful new space and giving our guests a personalised service that strives to meet their every need,” said owner Graham Blunt.

“Every detail offers our guests somewhere to do nothing other than focus on themselves, family and friends; enjoy selfcare treatments or indulge in a tailored, private treatment session that is not only a break from the usual routine but also beneficial to their mental wellbeing.”

Suppliers who worked on the project include spa and sauna specialist Anapos, which provided the thermal cabins, experience showers and ice fountains, while Unique Pool supplied the vitality and infinite pools and BC Softwear the robes and towels.
