Aqua Sana Forest Spa introduces its first touchless therapy offering

Aqua Sana Forest Spa has introduced a new touchless therapy treatment space at Woburn Forest.

The Forest Serenity Suite, designed by Sparcstudio, includes a welcome lounge, consultation space and six treatment pods, which can be private or communal.

Inspired by the healing power of the forest, the pods offer immersive sound and sensory vibration therapy treatments using Gharieni’s Welnamis lounger.

The Welnamis lounger uses binaural beats, specially created audio frequencies and synchronised vibrations. These are transmitted through the bed to calm the nervous system, promote mental clarity and restore balance.

Tailored 22-minute (£30) or 60-minute (£60) sessions can be fully adapted, depending on guests’ needs.

The project represents a new direction for Aqua Sana Forest Spa. Speaking exclusively to European Spa, Laura Freeman, group spa manager at Aqua Sana Forest Spa said: “We know that modern life can feel increasingly busy and overwhelming for our guests, so it felt important to create a space where they can switch off and recharge.

“Unlike many spas where similar technologies are offered in open areas or adapted treatment rooms, Aqua Sana Forest Spa has created a fully immersive suite experience, guided by our spa attendants.

“Forest Serenity Suite represents an exciting step forward that’s uniquely us. We’ve embraced innovative new technology while never forgetting our roots; channelling the calming power of our forest surroundings.

“It’s a whole sensorial journey, centred around touchless wellbeing rather than defined by it.”

The Forest Serenity Suite is available at Woburn Forest to guests aged 14 and over.

Bespoke sound journeys

To add a further unique touch, audio journeys have been created by sound artist Justin Wiggan using biosonification.

This is a process where environmental and biological data from the forest (light, wind and plant behaviour) is translated into sound.

Wiggan spent a week capturing the natural sounds throughout Woburn Forest to create a soundscape that supports relaxation, perception and nervous system regulation.

Visuals of the forest are also projected onto the ceiling and signature scents from Voya are featured in the space.

Teen wellness

Also new for the brand, Aqua Sana Forest Spa has introduced a teen-friendly facial and three new Signature Forest Spa Days featuring Elemis, Voya and [comfort zone].

Aqua Sana Forest Spa is the first in the UK to launch the Voya Teen Glow Facial, a 25-minute treatment created especially for younger, delicate skin.

A safe alternative to the advanced skincare routines and harsh products many teens are introduced to via social media, the facial uses Voya’s certified organic seaweed-based products to soothe, hydrate and rebalance the skin.
