Manor House Alsager creates new garden spa

Independent family-owned hotel and spa, Manor House Alsager, in east Cheshire, is set to open a new Secret Garden spa later this month.

The outdoor spa expansion includes a new hydrotherapy pool with countryside views, made by One Pool & Spa.

Following the popularity of the spa’s signature swim-up bar, the new garden also features a second swim-up bar, named the Bothy Bar.

There will also be a new cold-water plunge pool with a cascading waterfall, also by One Pool & Spa, that will be large enough for several guests to use together.

Dry garden spa facilities

New thermal facilities include a Finnish sauna, named the Hot House, offering panoramic views and featuring a Himalayan salt wall.

Reclaimed bricks have been used for the interior walls, giving the sauna a rustic and earthy atmosphere.

Two large greenhouses serve as relaxation spaces, with heated floors to ensure guests can enjoy the space year round.

The Secret Garden also houses a sensory herb garden filled with a selection of herbs and flowers and a water feature.

The Manor House Spa

The hotel already boasts an English country spa garden, which includes a vitality pool, panoramic laconicum with swing seats and a tabletop hydrotherapy tub set in a formal sunken garden.

In the garden buildings there is a salt steam inhalation chamber, the potting shed herbal sauna and an ice plunge supplied by Anapos.

Last year, Manor House Alsager added an Alpine-style ‘woodshed’ for socialising; private garden hot tubs; a guided meditation room; and new relaxation lounges.
