World Spa and Wellness Awards 2022: winners revealed

Winners of the 2022 World Spa & Wellness (WSW) Awards were revealed during this year’s WSW Conference, which took place at London’s ExCel Centre earlier this week. 

Now going into its tenth year, the WSW Awards were created to celebrate excellence in the spa industry, recognising destinations setting the standard for client care and service and treatment delivery, as well as leadership, innovation and commitment to wellness and sustainability.

Winners of this year’s awards were announced during a black-tie event aboard the Silver Sturgeon yacht. 

“The World Spa & Wellness Awards are judged by the industry, for the industry, meaning the finalists and winners are also at the top of their game when it comes to professionalism and business innovation,” said Eve Oxberry, head of Editorial at Professional Beauty. 

“Every finalist has demonstrated an incredibly high standard of treatment delivery, client care and leadership.”

• Spa of the Year: Asia & Australasia – Fivelements Retreat Wellness Sanctuary, Indonesia

 

• Spa of the Year: Middle East & Africa – The Spa at Sharq Village & Spa, Doha, Qatar

 

• Spa of the Year: North & South America – Piedra de Agua, Ecuador

 

• Highly Commended – The Ranch Malibu, USA

Eden Elements at Eden One, Ireland, took home the prize for Day Spa of the Year: Western Europe & Scandinavia

• Spa of the Year: Eastern Europe – Kalloni Spa at Parklane Resort & Spa, Cyprus 

 

• Day Spa of the Year: Western Europe & Scandinavia – Eden Elements at Eden One, Ireland

 

• Hotel Spa of the Year: Western Europe & Scandinavia – Serenity Spa at Seaham Hall, UK

 

• Resort Spa of the Year: Western Europe & Scandinavia – VarSana Spa, Palazzo di Varignana, Italy

• Spa Leader of the Year – Heidi Grimwood of Atmosphere Wellness Pvt Ltd, Maldives

• Independent Spa Business of the Year – Lapinha Spa, Brazil

 

• Highly Commended – Glass House Retreat, UK
