A new sustainability-focused event has been added to Architecture Anew, a public talks programme from global bathroom brand VitrA and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

The initiative allows architects, designers, artists and activists to argue the case for a new approach to sustainable design, exploring the environmental, social and economic impact of architecture and addressing it from a more holistic perspective.

Speaking at the ‘Rewilding: Nature Cannot Wait’ event on July 13 will be Jess Kennedy, associate director of sustainability at Arup and Project Director at Wild West End; Gwyn Stacey from The Centre for Alternative Technology; Richard Reynolds from The Guerilla Gardening; Jan Stannard from Heal Rewilding and Mari-Chiara Piccinelli from PiM.Studio.

“VitrA are delighted to continue supporting such a timely and considerate discussion series,” said the brand’s UK managing director, Levent Giray. “With so many creative and accomplished panelists, we’re honoured to participate in a conversation that will shape our industry for many years to come. We’re pleased that our partnership with RIBA has been able to challenge actions and hopefully spark change.”

Beginning in March 2021 with three digital lectures from architects and designers Anupama Kundoo, Jonathan Tuckey Design and Anna Heringer, this is the third year that RIBA and VitrA have partnered on a talks programme.
