Mas de Torrent Hotel and Spa has partnered with Spanish skincare expert Natura Bissé
A new hotel and spa, housed in an 18th-century Catalan farmhouse, opened on March 11 with a yoga retreat led by yogi Alessandra Oram.
The five-star boutique Mas de Torrent Hotel & Spa, part of Relais Chateaux, offers guests a choice of 39 suites, some with their own private pool, in Torrent, near Girona on Spain’s Costa Brava.
As well as a restaurant, run by chef Ramón Freixa, Mas de Torrent features a wellness centre, Mas Spa, which includes and indoor heated pool, four treatment rooms, a dry sauna, a hammam and a hydrotherapy circuit.
A fitness room has been equipped by Technogym, and further spaces are reserved for yoga, meditation or Pilates, while a 14m outdoor pool offers stunning views of the Empordà countryside.
In addition to an extensive range of massage experiences and full-body rituals, the spa offers a menu of facial treatments from Natura Bissé, including the Spanish brand’s Diamond Experience Facial.
The inaugural yoga retreat with Alessandra Oram is set to be repeated twice more during 2021.
