Mondrian Shoreditch London set for spring launch

The Mondrian brand will return to London this spring with the launch of  Mondrian Shoreditch.

Formerly The Curtain Hotel, the east London property is being converted  by hospitality groups Accor and sbe in collaboration with current owner Reuben Brothers.

Facilities at Mondrian Shoreditch will include a rooftop pool and a wellness centre as well as 120 bedrooms.

The Curtain Members Club will continue to operate under its current name and there will be several F&B offerings including a culinary experience by chef Dani García.

“London is such a thriving market for our lifestyle hospitality offerings and I am very excited to reestablish Mondrian as one of London’s most innovative and glamorous destinations for hospitality,” said Chadi Farhat, chief operating officer at sbe.

“The return of Mondrian to London reinforces our commitment to establishing the leading lifestyle brand in the heart of the most exciting cultural cities in the world.”

The flagship European hotel will the sixth in Mondrian’s global portfolio.

As part of a plan to open 10 new Mondrian properties by 2022, Mondrian Seoul Itaewon recently launched and hotels in Bordeaux and Cannes, France are expected to open this year.
