W Hotels debuts Away Spa at W Edinburgh

W Edinburgh, which opened late last year, has unveiled its new Away Spa.

The 312sqm spa has five treatment rooms (one double) under the stewardship of spa manager Frances Boyle and two therapists.

The design for each treatment room is unique and inspired by the elements fire, earth water and air. Each has its own changing area, shower and bathroom with treatment beds supplied by Gharieni.

Facilities include a private experience room with a hot tub, experience shower and sauna, supplied and installed by Barr + Wray.

There is a Technogym-equipped fitness centre with cardiovascular equipment, free weights and strength equipment.

Jestico + Whiles completed the architecture and interior design of the Away Spa and Raison D’Etre was the spa consultant.

Away Spa has partnered with Scottish skincare brand ishga as well as [comfort zone]. Towels and robes are supplied by Fishers and spa linens by BC SoftWear. Uniforms are sourced from La Beeby.

W Edinburgh also offers a striking rooftop deck offering 360-degree views and a Sound Suite recording studio, a first for the UK.

The hotel comprises three buildings positioned around St. James Square: the Ribbon Building, James Craig Walk, and the Quarter House, with a total of 199 rooms and 45 suites.
