Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Retreat de’MAR opens

A new health and wellbeing retreat has opened at Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in Montenegro.

The Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Retreat de’MAR has nine different therapy rooms and offers medical wellness and anti-ageing treatments.

The high-tech medical centre specialises in the fields of rehabilitation and medical wellness and the 350sqm facility is fully equipped with diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment.

A long tradition of natural healing

Hyatt Regency opened the 690sqm Spa Soul at the new Kotor Bay Resort in Montenegro in September.

In the heart of the famous Unesco World Heritage Site, Bay of Kotor, the Vrmac Health and Wellbeing has access to all of Spa Soul’s facilities, including the steam room, sauna and outdoor pools.

There has been a medical wellness offering on the Retreat de’MAR site since 1952.

Originally the Rehabilitation Institute Vrmac, Prčanj, in 1989 it became part of the Belgrade Rehabilitation Institute.

The site was bought and renovated and became the Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort in 2023.

There is a long tradition of natural healing in the locality of Prčnje.

In 1920, the royal government declared the location a natural climatic health resort known for treating respiratory diseases, asthma and bronchitis.

Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Retreat offers medical wellness

Architect Dr Mladen Djurović has created facilities for offering electrotherapy, ultrasound therapy, shock wave and x-wave therapy as well as laser (HILT) and magneto therapy at Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Retreat.

There are rooms for manual massage and hydrotherapy as well as a 16m pool and an aqua gym.

The nine therapy rooms are equipped for treatments including lymphatic drainage and cosmetic facial offerings such as fillers, botox and mesotherapy.

There is also a kinesitherapy room, a HydraFacial device and a medical clinic complete with an EKG and Vyntus Body analyser – the latest device for complete functional lung testing.

“Vrmac specialises in the fields of body detoxification, regeneration and rejuvenation, as well as post-Covid rehabilitation, longevity and immunity boosting,” says Dr Marina Delić,  a specialist in physical and rehabilitation medicine.

“All of our programmes are carefully designed to get the body back to overall health, enhancing physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.”

Medical wellness

Vrmac Health and Wellbeing Retreat de’MAR employs a highly experienced team of medical experts.

There are seven qualified physiotherapists who additionally specialise in areas from cardiorespiratory rehabilitation to dry needling, myofascial release techniques and spinal manipulation.

Products used in treatments are supplied by Alfaton Lekić, Spa Medica and Casmara.

Treatment beds are supplied by BTL and software by IS Wellness.
