The UK Spa Association (UKSA) has announced it is undertaking its second State of the Industry Annual Survey.

For 2025, the UKSA has increased the scope of the questions to gather a host of useful industry data. Topics include information on salaries, benefits and commissions, spa guest demographics and spa facilities.

The survey will run for three-weeks, with the results to be revealed at the UKSA’s Summer Networking Event on July 30 at Center Parcs Woburn Forest (pictured above.)

"We received such incredible feedback from our survey last year. Traditionally it has been quite a challenge to get any meaningful UK spa industry data on this scale but our 2024 survey bought home just how much this is needed and wanted by the industry."

Bobby Griffiths

General manager, UK Spa Association

“This year, we have extended the survey to include a more in-depth look into some of the areas that are pertinent in the industry right now – staffing, salaries and benefits since the recent National Insurance changes, plus the knock on effects on training and investment,” said UKSA general manager Bobby Griffiths.

“We urge spa operators to participate, to give a true picture of where the industry stands right now. The results are going to be remarkably interesting this year.’

The survey forms part on ongoing work by the UK Spa Association to support the spa industry through challenging times and provide spa leaders with the tools and metrics they need to make the best operational decisions.

Liz Solano will then speak on how to hack your hormones for better health while Marc Innes and Joseph O’Dowd from The School of Natural Therapies will introduce a new course on developing spa therapists in the long term.

Finally Ramin Saleh from Corner Stone Training will deliver a metaphorical ‘hug’ for spa leaders.
