The Tschuggen Hotel Group has created Moving Mountains, a holistic lifestyle programme to help people reconnect with nature and celebrate joy.

The Swiss-based group, which incorporates Tschuggen Grand Hotel Arosa, Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, Hotel Eden Roc Ascona and Valsana Hotel Arosa, has a corporate vision to ‘restore the value of time’ for its guests.

Outdoor adventures at Eden Roc Ascona are a part of the 'Moving Mountains' programme

“The interpretation of luxury has changed dramatically in recent years and the element of time is irreplaceable. Through our Moving Mountains approach, we are able to restore time’s true value.”

Leo Maissen

Chief executive officer, hotel operations, Tschuggen Hotel Group

To inspire conscientious travel, its dedicated team  worked with external experts to develop the new offering based on five pillars of wellness: Move, Play, Nourish, Rest; and Give.

Five pillars of 'Moving Mountains'

Inspired by the natural environments of  the group’s four hotels, functional fitness and yoga sessions prepare guests for the outdoor pursuits available at each location. The expert team can train and guide experiences including hiking, skiing, cycling and climbing.

Central to this pillar is the concept of fun, brought to life through empowering expeditions that enable guests to challenge themselves physically, or to master a new skill, while immersed in the surrounding nature. Curated adventures also introduce guests to local artisans and producers so they can become immersed in the area’s tradition and culture.

In collaboration with renowned London nutritionist, Rhaya Jordan, the Tschuggen Hotel Group’s Michelin-starred chefs have created locally sourced, plant-based ‘Moving Mountains’ menus, prepared with nutrient-dense ingredients.

Working closely with Hofklinik, a leading sleep centre in Lucerne, the Group has developed the optimal sleep experience, with in-room evening yoga complemented by a series of wellness treatments using organic products. A special food menu to help induce sleep can also be ordered.

The Group supports a number of local sustainability initiatives, and partners with local foundations to support artists.

Be adventurous...
