Lefay Resort & Spa Dolomiti, the award-winning spa resort in the Italian Dolomites, has introduced a new five-day Alpine detox programme to counteract bad eating habits and help the body eliminate toxins accumulated during periods of stress.

Based on Lefay’s holistic wellness method, which combines Classical Chinese Medicine with modern western techniques, the programme works to improve the health of the organs responsible for toxin removal.

“Even before Covid-19, more and more academic studies were highlighting the benefits of prescribing a connection with nature and the great outdoors. Mental states of anxiety and depression are all proven to benefit from connecting to nature and outdoor activities.”

Dr Carlo Barbieri

President, Lefay Spa Method Scientific Committee

Treatments include detoxifying energy massages; reflexology; a 30-minute body scrub with chestnut flower, Alpine salt and Alpine butter; a 75-minute facial; and an aroma-hydrotherapy session with essential oils.

In addition, a flotation session in the spa’s salt-water lake allows the body to absorb the trace elements and minerals from the Alpine salt in the water, providing a draining, detoxifying and relaxing effect.

The new Alpine detox is based on Lefay’s holistic wellness method

To enhance this restorative experience, the programme can be combined with a choice of new Alpine experiences offered by the resort in the Adamello Brenta National Park.

If skiing is not available due to Covid-19 restrictions, guests can take a guided hike through unexplored trails in the forest, ride horses in the snow or experience dog sledding, snow-shoeing or ski-mountaineering.
