Teresa O'Farrell and Stephen Price among new SATCC board members

Industry charity the Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC) has announced three new board members.

The charity, set up by Sue Harmsworth, MBE welcomes three new wellness industry leaders to its advisory board.

Teresa O’Farrell is global head of wellness and spa at Dorchester Collection. She is joined by Stephen Price, founder of SP&Co Group, and Stephanie Moore, who is a clinical nutritionist, health coach, author and clinical lead for Goodwood Health and Wellbeing.

Harmsworth officially launched the SATCC in 2023. It was created to support, nurture, provide information and ensure the highest standards of care.

“We are privileged to have incredible knowledge and experience within our team and beyond,” she said.

“The SATCC’s objective is to place people and their lived experience at the heart of the wellbeing sector, particularly when it comes to supporting cancer patients.

“Having launched with nearly 400 years of collective expertise across the charity’s trustees and advisory board members, I’m thrilled to add even more experience to the esteemed collective.”

Introducing the new SATCC board members

Teresa O’Farrell oversees the spa and wellness offering in current and future hotels at the Dorchester Collection. She is responsible for developing fully integrated global wellness initiatives.

“Spas and wellbeing providers have an important role to play in positively touching the lives of people living with cancer,” said O’Farrell.

“I am really looking forward to being part of the SATCC community and continuing to identify ways in which, together, we can benefit those with life changing challenges.”

Founder of SP&Co Group, a collection of globally acclaimed health, fitness and wellness concepts, Stephen Price is an ardent advocate of the power of movement at all stages of wellbeing.

“I’ve been working as an exercise consultant in cancer care for more than 15 years and have seen the profoundly positive role that physical activity plays from diagnosis onwards,” said Price. “I’m excited to be part of the SATCC advisory board.”

The three new members join a total of nine on the advisory board and the charity’s esteemed trustees, who have collectively trained more than 10,000 therapists and contributed to different aspects of the wellbeing sector.

The SATCC brings members of the wellness sector together in a united front to set the standard in holistic cancer care. It connects expert training, spa therapists and wellness providers with those going through their cancer journey.

The SATCC’s mission is to set the training standard and create the community to help spas offer a wealth of informed, nurturing support to anyone diagnosed with cancer.
