Made for Life Foundation launches Inner Goddess calendar

Made for Life has launched an exclusive Inner Goddess calendar ahead of Christmas, with all profits going to the Made for Life Foundation and the SATCC

As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations this year, Made for Life has launched the Inner Goddess Calendar.

Shot at the Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park by photographer Mark Walker, the calendar has been created by Made for Life Foundation founder, Amanda Winwood, to amplify the voices of women battling cancer.

The calendar is a tribute to resilience and bravery, showcasing 12 women from the spa industry who either live with cancer, have lost their lives to cancer or support those battling it.

The aim of the calendar was to help and support women going through treatment for cancer and beyond to feel confident and inspire others.

“We asked each woman to think about who their inner goddess was. They chose how they wanted to be, selected their clothing and things that were meaningful for them. Each woman also made an affirmation, which you will find on their calendar pages. It's about showing that cancer is not an exclusive thing.”

“I wanted to create something to celebrate all this industry does for people living with cancer and the people who give so much,” continues Winwood.

“Each month of the year features someone who has been touched by cancer in some way or is striving to make life better for those living with cancer, all celebrating their inner goddess.

“Look at how amazing they are and take it as a reminder to celebrate who you are.”

The Inner Goddess calendar

Each month unveils a portrait of strength, featuring women from across the industry channelling their Inner Goddess.

Goddesses include ESPA and SATCC founder Sue Harmsworth, Drom founder Kicki Carlsson, Scented Saviours’ Laura Broady, Journey’s Laura Meeson and author and CEO at Thinking Fearlessly, Julia Leckey.

The women’s stories are woven into each page, reflecting their journey.

Hair and make up are by Beauty Rebellion’s Amy Bates and Coralie Steingold.

All profits from calendar sales will go into the Made for Life Foundation and the Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC), founded by Sue Harmsworth MBE.

Jointly, their role is to promote and ensure a standard of acceptable accredited training, appropriate for those therapists, salons and spas treating those who are living with cancer.
