Spa Education Academy holds online graduation ceremony

Spa management education specialists at the Spa Education Academy (SEA) recently celebrated the success of their students with a virtual degree ceremony.

The online event was attended by more than 50 graduates worldwide and students received gifts sponsored by Temple Spa as well as qualifications handed out by the Academy’s director, Kathryn Dowthwaite-Blay.

Awards were given for academic excellence in degree-level spa management qualifications that were online-accredited by CIDESCO, ITEC and CIBTAC.

The Academy’s Student of the Year accolade was presented Cindy Beyers, spa and wellness manager at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara.

From January 2021, the SEA will offer a new Level 5 higher education online qualification in ‘Leadership and Management’ for senior spa leaders.

Applications are now open for the course, which will be taught as a fast-track option over six months in order to enable students to study alongside work and other commitments.
