Silvia Ammesso appointed spa manager by Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane

Silvia Ammesso has been named as the new spa manager at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane.

A spa professional with 16 years’ experience working in established five-star hotel spas, Ammesso started her career as a therapist for Park Hyatt Hotel in Milan, her home town.

She moved to London and joined the team at the Health Club at One Aldwych Hotel in 2010.

Since then, she has worked at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park – where she supported the closing of the spa for its planned refurbishment in 2017 – and Akasha Spa at Hotel Café Royal.

In 2021, Ammesso was selected to join the pre-opening team of the Carlton Tower Jumeirah.

She played a crucial part in repositioning the hotel and the Peak Club as the Jumeirah flagship for Europe.

“As spa manager I will be overlooking the whole operation, from supporting the current team of very experienced therapists to ensuring our brand collaborations continue to thrive,” said Ammesso.

“I will be working to preserve the many factors contributing to the continued success of the spa at the Four Seasons so far.

“With my background in luxury, my understanding of spa business needs and my passion for developing successful teams, I hope to bring a fresh prospective and new ideas for continuous improvements.”

Continuous improvements and new spa developments

“To remain relevant in such a competitive market, a continuous review of the offering, demand and trends is pivotal for the prosperity of the spa,” Ammesso added.

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane recently launched a new sound bath experience for guests, in partnership with Sahana Sound.

Globally, Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet in Turkey revealed its new Kurna Spa in the spring.
