The Edinburgh Grand, Scotland’s first Luxury Collection Hotel, has revealed its new wellness space.

Located in the historic Bank of Scotland vaults beneath St Andrew Square, the Spa at The Edinburgh Grand introduces three private treatment suites, with a treatment menu developed in partnership with Skeyndor.

The new wellness space transforms the historic vaults into a calm, design-led retreat, which preserves the original architectural proportions of the space.

Oak‑lined walls, limestone finishes and Calacatta Viola stone creates a contemporary, calming environment that maintains the building’s character.

Rather than traditional wet spa facilities, the Spa at the Edinburgh Grand focuses on precision-led facials and advanced body therapies.

A treatment focussed destination

“As head of spa and wellness, my primary objective is to establish Spa at The Edinburgh Grand as a premier, treatment-focused destination distinguished by advanced skin health expertise and holistic wellness principles,” says Ross.

“Through our partnership with Skeyndor, we are launching scientifically driven, results-oriented treatments, each underpinned by personalised consultations and meticulous execution

“We will focus on measurable outcomes and strive to become the city’s trusted destination for skin health.

“My development strategy will concentrate on three core pillars: enhancing clinic-level proficiency, fostering a culture of excellence and confidence within the team, and establishing enduring relationships with our guests.”

Blending skin science with curated rituals

A Spanish skincare brand, Skeyndor has devised a series of hero treatments for the space, including the Power Up Vitamin C Facial developed to address dullness, fatigue and uneven skin tone.

The Aquatherm facial is powered by Skeyndor’s exclusive thermal spring water from the Pyrenees while the Spa Senses massage uses the brand’s bespoke aromatherapy oils.

The space is open to both hotel guests and local residents, complementing the pre-existing Technogym-equipped gym within the vaults. Uniforms are supplied by Florence Roby, while towels, robes and spa linens are from BC SoftWear.

The launch of the spa marks the final stage in The Edinburgh Grand’s transformation into Scotland’s first Luxury Collection hotel.
