Following a successful opening in New York in 2021, Casa Cipriani has expanded its presence to Milan.

The new five-star luxury hotel has opened with a seven-treatment room spa and wellness area, set across two levels.

The 1,000sqm spa and wellness area was designed by Studio Apostoli and will be managed by spa director Sigra Minetti.

The wellness project reflects the style that has characterised the Cipriani family for four generations, combining elegance and uniqueness, embracing the architectural theme of the historic Palazzo Bernasconi.

The spa lobby is visible through windows opening onto Corso Venezia. On the ground floor, there is a beauty area, offering dedicated cabins for treatments including massages, cosmetic micro-surgery, manicures and pedicures.

Treatments are provided by Bakel Skincare. Towels and spa linens are supplied by Rivolta Carmignani.

There is a fitness area on the same level, with rooms dedicated to Pilates, boxing, fitness equipment by Technogym and a private space for personal training.

The basement features a dramatic tunnel that creates the illusion of being on a boat in the middle of the sea.

This tunnel guides visitors to the two separate spa areas for men and women, each with its own unique aesthetic.

The women’s area showcases soft, curved shapes and employs precious stone mosaics.

"For Casa Cipriani in Milan, our aim was to tell a distinctly Italian story. We believe that an iconic spa in the heart of Italy’s design and fashion capital could only find its home in the former Palazzo Bernasconi.”

“The impeccable quality and meticulous attention to detail in the finishes resonate with guests, while the carefully designed lighting creates an immersive ambiance,” says Alberto Apostoli, founder of Studio Apostoli.

“The presence of water offers a respite within the bustling city of Milan.”

The women’s wellness area includes a changing room, a Finnish sauna, an ice fountain, sensory showers, and a Hamman adorned with a vaulted ceiling clad in French red marble.

The men’s area draws inspiration from the Japanese onsen and features a blend of wood and stone elements.

It offers a double-level sauna, two sensory showers, a Turkish bath and an ice fountain. All are supplied by Cemi and BSR Engineering

There is also a communal relaxation area and a saltwater pool, also supplied by Cemi and BSR Engineering.

The boutique Casa Cipriani Hotel, which overlooks Intro Montanelli park, has 15 rooms and suites, along with a Private Club.
