An adults-only boutique retreat, Nema Design Hotel and Spa in Crete has announced plans for a new spa.

Eéso Spa will offer a transformative wellness concept, designed to restore balance through curated treatments, serene spaces and a holistic approach to wellbeing.

The spa, set for completion in Q3 2026, will span 1,350sqm and be designed by principal architect Dimitri Tsigos of Omniview.

Eéso will feature Roman baths and a hydrotherapy zone, offering immersive water experiences inspired by ancient rituals. These will include saunas and steam rooms, spanning both traditional and contemporary thermal experiences, as well as a halotherapy chamber for respiratory wellness.

Conceived as a holistic sanctuary of wellbeing, Eéso Spa will also have a chromotherapy area, offering innovative light-based treatments, and an Ayurvedic room dedicated to time-honoured holistic practices.

In private treatment room cabins, bespoke therapies will range from deep tissue massages to advanced detox programmes.

Facilities conclude with a fully fitted gym for strength and cardio training and relaxation lounges. An indoor heated pool will form the centrepiece of the spa.

Nema will unveil an additional 35 new suites in May 2026

“The Eéso Spa is designed to be more than a spa, it will be a destination within the destination,” says Giorgos Vasilas, director of sales and marketing.

“Eéso will offer guests a transformative journey that combines physical, mental and emotional wellbeing in a space where architecture, nature and ritual meet. This marks the beginning of a bold new era of ultra-hospitality for Nema.”

Stillness and simplicity

Nema unveiled 15 new luxury suites this September. The hotel’s offering centres around the chance to disconnect from the demands of daily life.

It offers guests the opportunity to step away from screens, routines and constant noise to rediscover stillness and simplicity.

As part of the expansion, an additional 35 new suites will debut in May 2026, as well as Ná Le Ma, a new dining destination.

The design brief is to fuse contemporary elegance and authentic Cretan charm, combining minimalist design with earthy interiors.
