La Traviata Wellness & Spa opens on the Italian Riviera

La Traviata Wellness & Spa at Villa Treville in Positano has opened, offering treatments and products from German aesthetics doctor Dr. Barbara Sturm.

Housed in the property’s newly renovated art nouveau greenhouse at the film director Franco Zefirelli’s former residence, La Traviata is an intimate wellness retreat with signature therapies and treatments that capture the essence of Positano.

The creation of architect Antonio Girardi and garden designer Antonino Rianna Posaflora, La Traviata Wellness & Spa offers 120sqm of indoor space alongside 300sqm outdoors. The spa employs three therapists.

The spa menu includes non-surgical treatments and facial products developed by Dr. Sturm, who consulted on the spa’s development.

Treatments all use her products, renowned due to her anti-inflammatory philosophy, which avoids aggressive and harmful ingredients.

The #SturmGlow

La Traviata will offer the signature #SturmGlow anti-ageing facial, full body massages inspired by the scents and plants grown in the Villa Treville gardens, and specific treatments for men.

Treatment rooms offer state-of-the-art multifunctional treatment beds and an intimate Turkish bath, all supplied by Lemi.

Other suppliers include Seed to Skin, uniforms by Dr Barbara Sturm and fitness equipment from Technogym and Outrace. Towels and spa linens are locally tailored for La Treville.

Dr. Barbara Sturm’s science-based products and philosophy of healing the skin have achieved high status with skincare devotees worldwide. She is a frequent guest at Villa Treville.
