Aromatherapy Associates CEO steps down

Luxury skincare brand Aromatherapy Associates has announced the resignation of its chief executive officer, Anna Teal, effective from Friday January 27.

After four years with the brand, Teal is to be replaced by Mark Winter, managing director of No7 Beauty Company.

Aromatherapy Associates‘ owner, Walgreens Boots Alliance, explored the potential sale of the business during 2022, but chose not to progress, instead opting to integrate the brand into the No7 Beauty Company, which is also within its portfolio.

“As a result of this change, which I thoroughly endorse and proposed, I will be stepping down from my role,” said Teal.

“Leadership of the business will transition under the remit of Mark Winter, who has been a member of the Aromatherapy Associates board for some time now and is very familiar with the brand and its unique positioning and committed to its future success.

“I would like to thank all our customers for the warmth and partnership extended over the past four years to myself and to the brand.

“Over this period, we have been through a dramatic modernisation, sustainability and growth journey, delivering some of our best ever launches, performance and number of awards gained.”

Greg Davis, who joined the business in September, will act as interim managing and sales director for Aromatherapy Associates, with India Plumbly and David Middleton remaining in their roles as directors of marketing and finance respectively.
