New integrative wellness hospitality brand, Jayasom, has announced its flagship wellness resort will launch in AMAALA, on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, in 2026.

Jayasom Wellness Resort AMAALA will include 153 guest units and 24 residences. It will join a portfolio of nine luxury resorts opening at Triple Bay as part of the giga project by developer Red Sea Global.

The brainchild of Chiva Som’s Karen Campbell, Jayasom’s inaugural flagship property will have a 7,000 sqm wellness facility. The offer will blend evidence-based Western treatments, traditional Arabic remedies and mindful living philosophies.

The name Jayasom embodies a place for the heart and is derived from ‘Jay’, meaning heart, and ‘Asom’, meaning place.

“Jayasom was born from a belief that wellness is a practice grounded in presence, learning and the quiet courage to be still. At AMAALA, we will provide the space and support to restore balance, breathe deeply and reconnect with wisdom – ancient and modern, personal and shared.”

Karen Campbell

CEO of Jayasom

Campbell co-founded Jayasom in 2014 to reconnect people with the wisdom of wellness and to help guests find balance, peace and respect for the natural world.

Known for her work at Thailand’s integrative spa resort, Chiva-Som, Campbell’s mission for Jayasom is to empower people to live a healthier and more connected life.

“Our commitment is to deliver wellness with integrity and compassion, empowering guests to carry forward habits that enrich their lives long after they return home,” she says.

“Jayasom is a sanctuary created to help guests feel deeply connected to themselves and their surroundings.”

Multigenerational wellness

Jayasom will have separate adults-only and family areas including infant, toddler, tween and teen zones.

Speaking exclusively to European Spa, Campbell adds: “My vision is to provide a simple, foundational wellness platform – as fundamental as learning to read and write – that models a healthy lifestyle.

“If we inspire guests from every generation how to be well, they will be better informed to choose a deliberate path rather than accelerated trends or short cuts to health.”

The resort will offer tailored, multidisciplinary wellness journeys with key pillars including detox and nutrition, mindfulness and emotional wellbeing, women’s health and hormone balance.

There will be retreats for couple’s reconnection, leadership and detoxification, designed to support personal transformation and meaningful connection.

The wellness offering will include physiotherapy, fitness, mindfulness, energy work, nutrition, spa treatments and minimally invasive aesthetic medicine.

‘Tread lightly, live well’

Jayasom, AMAALA will offer guests time, stillness and space to breathe, recalibrate and reconnect with inner quiet, and to build new habits. The guiding philosophy behind the brand is ‘tread lightly, live well’.

Specialised programmes will be inspired by the wisdom of TAIM (Traditional Arab and Islamic Medicine), an integrative healing tradition that emphasises balance, prevention and harmony across body, mind and spirit.

This culturally rooted approach complements the resort’s broader medical and holistic offer.

In line with its commitment to a light resource footprint and meaningful community contribution, the resort will feature an organic farm, providing fresh, organic produce for the resort and serving as a learning hub for guests.
