Hyatt Hotels has opened its first Grand Hyatt in Spain.

The 192-room resort, owned by Grupo Inversor Hesperia, includes a spa with six treatment rooms (two doubles) and a manicure room.

Located within the prestigious La Manga Club Resort in Murcia, southeast Spain, Alma Spa and its team of seven therapists is managed by spa director Pilar Peral.

"Alma Spa is dedicated to holistic care and attention to body and soul. We use techniques and treatments inspired by the essences and aromas of Mediterranean plants."

“At Alma Spa, we have created a unique space where guests can choose the experience they need and turn their gaze inward to reconnecting with the present moment,” said Peral.

Alma Spa facilities

The Arabian-inspired Alma Spa provides a calming space for guests to unwind. Alma means ‘water’ in Arabic and ‘soul’ in Spanish, and water is a key influence throughout the space.

Treatments are created by Natura Bissé. There is a hydrotherapy pool and multi-sensory circuit supplied by Inbeca, and an adult-only infinity pool with views across the golf course.

The circuit includes a steam bath, sauna, ice fountain and four effects showers – including a bithermal sequential shower.

The pool features four hydromassage loungers, two water curtains and hydromassage benches.

There is also an outdoor family pool and fitness centre supplied by Life Fitness.

A destination within a destination

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club is located amid 1,384 acres of greenery, with natural landmarks Calblanqe Natural Park and Mar Menor lagoon close by.

“Every Grand Hyatt hotel is carefully designed as a destination within a destination. The Grand Hyatt La Manga Club sets the bar high when it comes to delivering luxury,” said Ángel Holgado, general manager at Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa.

“We’re confident that its meticulous balance of inventive cuisine, elevated service, world-class facilities and holistic pampering will prove a winning combination.”

Hyatt previously announced the development of Grand Hyatt Lanzarote, which is set to open in 2025.
