Hyatt Hotels has revealed plans open its first Grand Hyatt hotel in Spain, which will include a generous spa.

The luxury leisure resort, which is expected to open in mid-2023 following significant renovation work, will include 192 rooms, six suites and a 1,700sqm wellness spa.

Spa facilities will include a steam bath, sauna, ice fountain, four effects showers – including a bithermal sequential shower – and six treatment rooms.

A wellness pool will feature four hydromassage loungers, two water curtains and hydromassage benches. There will also be a thermal contrast pool and fitness studio. Two adults-only pools will offer sea views. Pilar Peral has been appointed as spa manager.

Located in Murcia, the Grand Hyatt property sits in a secluded spot on the Mediterranean coast, at the heart of the renowned enclave of La Manga Club – one of Europe’s most in-demand sports and leisure destinations.

The announcement fuels Hyatt’s ambitious plans to grow its luxury brands in key-growth markets across Europe.
