Helena Grzesk becomes COO of British Beauty Council

Following nearly four years as general manager at the UK Spa Association (UKSA), Helena Grzesk is to join the British Beauty Council as chief operating officer.

Working alongside CEO Millie Kendall, MBE, part of Grzesk’s remit will be to promote diversity and inclusion in the industry.

Last year, European Spa’s founding editor and publisher, Sarah Camilleri, was invited to join the Council’s Advisory Board, alongside global makeup artist Ruby Hammer MBE and celebrated nail expert Marian Newman BEM, to help to drive positive change.

Looking to the future, Kendle said, “Our mission is to represent and raise the reputation of a previously under-represented and undervalued sector to ensure it is future-ready, rich with talent and operating on a global platform to enable scale and growth.”

UKSA board member and Work for Wellness pillar lead Yvonne Ebdon will take over as general manager of the association, continuing to work alongside chairman Adam Chatterley and the Board to support UKSA members.

Ebdon said: “I would like to thank Helena for all of her hard work. She has been a true leader and inspiration to many in the industry and I’m honoured to be stepping into her shoes.”
