Harbour Beach Club hotel and spa to open in Devon

Devon is set to welcome a new spa with the opening of the Harbour Beach Club Hotel & Spa in Salcombe, UK.

Operated by Harbour Hotels, the Harbour Beach Club Hotel & Spa is scheduled to open later this month near South Sands Beach. The hotel is billed as a year-round seaside retreat and offers 50 bedrooms and suites, including a penthouse boasting seaside views and balconies overlooking the picturesque Salcombe Estuary, as well as a destination spa. 

Spanning 520sqm, the spa will offer five treatment rooms, as well as a 12m indoor pool, a state-of-the-art gym and a relaxation room. A hydro-pool equipped with a skylight window, steam room, sauna, wellbeing juice bar and sun terrace complete the spa’s offering.

Inspired by the healing and transformative power of the ocean, the spa will offer an extensive treatment menu with a curated selection of rituals and experiences from luxury spa brand Temple Spa, as well as its own’s signature experiences. 

Available treatments include Soul Soother from the Sea, a natural sea-salt body exfoliation treatment designed to stimulate blood flow and leave guests feeling fresh and reinvigorated, the Cashmere & Truffles Body Treatment, the Champagne & Truffles Deluxe Facial and the Detoxifying Mud Wrap, all combining luscious botanicals with cutting-edge ingredients.

Drawing inspiration from its seaside setting, the spa’s interiors will embody a chic and coastal feel throughout, with rattan furniture, reclaimed wood, linen and soft coloured stripes, while the pool area will feature striking architectural arches and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to stream in. 

Suppliers involved in the project include BC Softwear, who supplied the spa linens, and Natural Living, who provided the treatment beds. Architecture and design services were provided by NJG and Expedite, who worked alongside Harbour Hotels’ interiors team to create the spa.

Additional facilities include an all-day restaurant with sea views, as well as a laid-back beach bar. A programme of outdoor activities will include guided beachside running sessions, beach boot camps and fitness classes, such as HIIT and Body Pump. 

Sea-swimming, cold-water swimming lessons, cliff hikes, paddleboarding, nature experiences and guided meditation hikes along the coastal path will also be available.
