Hannah Swain joins Champneys Mottram Hall as spa manager

Hannah Swain has been appointed as the new spa manager of Champneys Mottram Hall in Cheshire.

She joins the Mottram Hall team from a role as spa manager at the Manor House Hotel in Alsager, where she assisted with the development and opening of the property’s new spa and spa garden.

An experienced spa manager

Swain’s experience includes roles at Amaze Hotels’ Shrigley Hall in Macclesfield, Ruthin Castle in North Wales and Chevin Hotel in Yorkshire. She worked for Amaze Hotels for ten years, assisting with the development, refurbishment and opening of the BAZAAR spa at Shrigley Hall.

She began working as a spa therapist straight from college; her first role was at Carden Park. Her new role will focus on the development and support of the treatments department at Mottram Hall.

“I will be supporting the teams’ development to achieve the Champneys’ standards, working in line with the business strategy to achieve maximum revenue and customer satisfaction,” said Swain.

“My focus will be on the customer journey and how we can enhance touch points and rapport with our clientele.

“There is so much potential at Mottram Hall. I will be working with the teams and our brand partners, Clarins and Elemis, to develop every aspect of wellness we can offer to our guests, with designated skincare talks and advisory points.”

Driving customer experience at Champneys

Champneys’ first property in the north of England, Mottram Hall in Cheshire reopened in September 2020, following a £12m spa renovation.

The opulent 3,000sqm spa, designed by Sparcstudio, is set over two floors, provides 15 treatment rooms as well as a dedicated beauty lounge and barbershop.

The thermal suite in the pool area places a deliberate focus on bringing the outside in with slot windows looking to the gardens and onto the pool, creating a unique sense of space.
